The Sony DSLR-A390L is an excellent all-round DSLR with a comprehensive array of features, tremendous image quality and great response times, packed into a lightweight and easily portable body.
The A390L comes with SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilisation, making it easy to shoot handheld by reducing camera shake, invaluable in low light conditions or at extreme zoom levels. The lightweight construction of the A390L's body also makes it easy to hold for extended periods without aching wrists or camera shake.
The A390L has a high resolution 14.9 effective megapixel CCD sensor and a BIONZ processor for detailed images, with incredibly rich colours and very little noise due to sophisticated Exmor technology.
9-point centre cross AF with EyeStart activation ensures that the Sony A390L offers fast, accurate focusing, while a smart teleconverter - Gives additional instant magnification of 1.4x or 2x to pull distant subjects closer.
As well as an optical viewfinder with 95% coverage, this DSLR also has a Clear Photo 2.7” LCD viewscreen. This offers brilliant colour and detail when framing and viewing shots, and has an anti-glare coating for shooting in sunlight or brightly lit indoor locations. It also has a D-Range optimiser with Advanced mode to adjust brightness and contrast for perfect exposure even in strongly backlit scenes.
The LCD also features Quick AF Live View, which gives a clear, high resolution picture of the scene you're composing on the large tilting 2.7-inch LCD screen. It's the perfect way to maintain eye contact with your subject without being stuck behind the camera's viewfinder.
For those who own a Bravia TV, the A390L has built in Bravia Sync functionality to allow control of camera playback via your TV remote, though the A390L can be connected to any HD TV with the addition of an optional HDMI cable.
