The Pioneer VSX420-K is a basic receiver offering a HDMI switch, 2 Inputs and 1 Output. The gloss black styling complements any home theatre set up. This receiver will work well with small cube style speakers for small to medium sized living areas.
The main digital audio inputs are optical and digital coax, so this receiver will work with DTS and Dolby Digital signals from Sky HD, Freeview HD, Freesat HD and Virgin V+HD via optical. Most DVD players and games consoles also support optical or digital coax connections for sound.
All in all the VSX420-K is a great introduction to surround sound, and will give hours of amazing sound.
